Wisdom

The starting image for  this PFCC challenge was an old green book. The fighters had their choice of an embossed cover book (Morguefile) that wasn’t the best quality, or a high quality scanned image of one of my old cloth books. I ended up using the embossed book as a texture, even though I’d wanted to use the cloth book.

I found this wonderful black and white portrait of a wiseman on Pixabay. For some reason, the image called to me, so I had to use it. I place the book image over the man and changed the blend mode of that layer. Color Dodge looked best. I added a levels adjustment layer to further enhance the contrast, then add a color fill layer and hue/saturation layer to change the grayscale into sepia. I finished off with a subtle vignette to focus your eyes in his.

Take care & stay well with masks, hand washing and distancing. I heard last night our gov says shelter in place until mid-June although some things have partially opened.
